当代生命科学的许多研究都致力于从分子尺度上理解基因与环境之间的关系--特别是包括蛋白质在内的细胞效应物的水平、修饰和相互作用的动态变化。《分子生物科学前沿》为基础研究和应用研究提供了一个国际出版平台;我们鼓励跨已建立和新兴的生物学领域的贡献。为此,该杂志借鉴了经验学科,如结构生物学、酶学、生物化学和生物物理学,并利用了技术进步,使代谢组学和蛋白质组学测量能够在大规模并行通量,并开发了强大和创新的计算生物学策略。我们也认识到来自医学和技术的影响,欢迎在分子遗传学、分子诊断和治疗学以及纳米技术方面的研究。我们的最终目标是全面阐述生物体中蛋白质、核酸、碳水化合物、脂质和小代谢物的分子调节机制。除了有趣的新发现,技术和应用,前沿分子生物科学将考虑新的可测试的假设,以激发不同的观点和刺激科学对话。计算机模拟、体外和体内方法的整合将有利于生命科学所有领域的努力。
