国际细胞肿瘤学会官方期刊专注于转化研究解决细胞生物学向临床应用的转化细胞肿瘤学发表来自不同生物医学和临床学科的科学论文,涉及细胞和组织水平的基础和转化癌症研究、该领域的技术和生物信息学发展以及临床应用。这包括许多领域,如基因组技术、微阵列和其他高通量技术、基因组不稳定性、SNP、DNA甲基化、信号通路、DNA组织、(亚)显微成像、蛋白质组学、生物信息学、基因组学的功能效应、药物设计和开发、分子诊断和靶向癌症治疗、基因型-表型相互作用。一个主要目标是将这些领域的最新发展从研究实验室转化为常规患者管理。为此,细胞肿瘤学在分子生物学家、遗传学家、技术开发人员、病理学家、(医学)肿瘤学家和其他参与癌症患者管理的临床医生之间形成了一个科学信息交流的平台。体外研究优先得到具有临床病理学相关性的肿瘤组织验证的支持。
