《生物理论学报》致力于理论生物学的推广,包括数理生物学和生物哲学,特别关注生物理论形成的方法论。欢迎发表各种生物理论的论文。有趣的学科包括生物哲学、生物数学、计算生物学、遗传学、生态学和形态学。理论形成的过程可以用语言或数学的形式来表述。此外,纯方法论的论文可以致力于生物学理论和概念背后的哲学的历史起源。论文应该包含对生物学假设的明确陈述,并在适用的情况下,说明将其转化为数学形式的理由,以及对数学处理的详细讨论。与经验数据的联系应该得到澄清。生物理论学报也欢迎批评性的书评,对以前的论文的简短评论和简短的笔记,引导人们注意有趣的新理论思想。
