《灵长类》是一本国际性的灵长类学杂志，其宗旨是为阐明灵长类的各个方面提供一个论坛。最古老的灵长类学期刊《灵长类》发表了推动灵长类科学研究的原创论文，其范围涵盖了不同领域的工作，包括行为的生物学基础、社会生态学、学习和认知、社会过程、系统学、进化和医学。欢迎对自然种群保护和圈养灵长类动物福利作出贡献。如果与灵长类动物学的相关性明确，则可考虑对非灵长类动物进行研究。包括原创文章和评论文章、新闻和观点以及书评。编辑委员会成员对收到的所有稿件进行初步筛选，以确定是否合适，同时考虑到风格和道德问题，从而迅速决定是否将稿件送交外部审查。
