《膜生物学杂志》致力于出版与膜生物学、生物化学和生物物理学相关的高质量科学。特别是,我们欢迎使用现代实验或计算方法的工作,包括但不限于显微镜、衍射、NMR、计算机模拟或生物化学,目的是膜相关或膜嵌入蛋白或模型膜系统。这些方法可应用于膜蛋白结构和功能、膜介导或控制的信号机制、通过间隙连接的细胞间通讯、基于单层或双层系统的蛋白质和脂质的行为、或控制膜功能的遗传和调控机制等研究主题。我们还鼓励作者考虑发表“负面”结果,即实验或模拟进行得很好,但导致了不寻常或意外的结果,而没有明显的解释。虽然我们欢迎与临床研究的联系,但主要是临床性质的投稿或未能与膜结构、化学和功能等基础科学问题联系起来的投稿不适合发表在期刊上。同样,对于临床或人群研究中主要是描述性和叙述性分析的研究,最好在其他期刊上发表。如果您不确定,写信给我们询问您的研究是否适合本期刊是完全合适的。
