《水资源进展》提供了一个论坛,介绍在理解水资源系统方面的基本科学进展。水资源进展的范围包括理论、计算和实验方法的任何组合,用于促进对地表或地下水资源系统或这些系统与大气、地圈、生物圈和人类社会的相互作用的基本理解。如果手稿涉及的案例研究没有试图得出更广泛的结论,对工程设计、应用水力学或水质和处理的研究,以及对现有知识的应用没有促进对水文过程的基本理解,则不适用于《水资源进展》。将考虑的适当主题领域的例子包括:·地表和地下水文学·水文气象学·环境流体动力学·生态水文学和生态流体动力学·多孔介质中的多相输运现象·流体流动和物种输运及反应过程
