《维生素和激素》于1943年首次出版,是学术出版社出版时间最长的系列丛书。在连载的早期,维生素和激素的主题是相当不同的。编辑委员会现在反映了激素作用、维生素作用、X射线晶体结构、生理学和酶机制领域的专业知识。《维生素和激素》继续发表内分泌学家、生物化学家、营养学家、药理学家、细胞生物学家和分子生物学家感兴趣的前沿评论。其他对激素和维生素等生物活性分子的结构和功能感兴趣的人将一如既往地转向本系列,由本学科和相关学科的主要贡献者进行全面综述。
