基本信息

认识到历史的观点往往是有用的,如果不是必要的,对大多数湖沼过程的理解,导致了最近对古湖沼学的兴趣激增。《古湖沼学杂志》的主要目的是提供一个工具,迅速传播有关重建湖泊历史的原始科学工作。虽然大多数论文涉及湖泊,但河流、湿地、泥炭地和河口系统的古环境研究也有资格发表。《古湖沼学杂志》与学科本身一样,是多学科性质的,发表的论文涉及各个方面(如生物、化学、物理、地质等)。重建和解释湖泊历史的重要性。无论是应用性论文还是理论性论文都同样受到鼓励。《古湖沼学杂志》将继续是有关气候变化以及其他紧迫主题的论文的主要存放地,这些主题包括全球环境变化、湖泊酸化、富营养化、长期监测和湖泊个体发育的其他方面。分类学和方法学论文也是可以接受的,只要它们具有相对广泛的兴趣。新的设备设计经常成为特色。除了原始数据和想法,《古湖沼学杂志》还发表评论文章、评论和节目预告。相关的书评部分也有特色。
