《爬虫学杂志》接受有关两栖动物和爬行动物生物学的所有方面的手稿,包括它们的行为、保护、生态学、形态学、生理学和系统学,以及爬虫学教育。我们鼓励作者提交数据驱动和严格检验假说的手稿,或提供新分类群(活的或化石)的详尽描述。主题可能会以一种深思熟虑的、定量的方式来解决理论问题。对爬虫科学提供新见解的评论和政策论文也是受欢迎的,但它们必须不仅仅是简单的文献评论。这些论文必须有一个中心焦点,提出一个新的论点来理解一个概念,或提出一个新的方法来回答问题或解决问题。将相关主题的论文结合在一起的重点部分通常由编辑确定。长期展望部分的出版物仅限受邀者。关于圈养繁殖、新技术或取样方法、轶事或孤立的自然历史观察、地理范围扩展的论文应提交给我们的姐妹杂志《爬虫学评论》。
