从2017年起,《种子科学杂志》(JSS)将只发行网络版。尚未发表或提交给其他期刊发表的原始科学研究和通讯,以及以葡萄牙语或英语撰写的文章,将被接受发表。对于以英语提交的手稿,作者应提供适当的版本。科学通讯是一种科学手稿,它描述了一种技术,一种设备,新物种或有限结果的观察和调查。它具有与“科学文章”相同的科学严谨性和与出版物相同的价值。将手稿归类为科学交流是基于其内容和科学价值,但它可以是初步研究,简单而不确定的某个主题,其独特性和对该领域的贡献证明出版物是合理的。JSS编辑委员会可邀请知名的主要作者撰写涵盖其专业主题的特定综述文章,以传达给科学界社区与特定主题相关的最新知识。
