该杂志的宗旨是报道各向同性和各向异性固体的塑性变形、损伤和断裂行为的各个方面的原创性研究,包括塑性和断裂的热力学、连续介质理论、宏观和微观现象。感兴趣的主题包括单晶和多晶金属、陶瓷、岩石和土壤、复合材料的塑性行为。纳米晶体和微电子材料、形状记忆合金、铁电陶瓷、薄膜和聚合物,以及失效和断裂力学的塑性方面。重要的实验、数值或理论贡献促进了对固体塑性行为的理解,连同与固体宏观到微观行为相关的研究一起,特别令人感兴趣。与塑性变形建模相似的有限非线性弹性变形建模论文也是受欢迎的。期刊将包含研究论文、综述文章、研究笔记、致编辑的信件和学术广告(书籍、期刊、会议和研讨会)。预测准静态、动态或循环热-机械加载期间观察到的现象的应变率相关和应变率无关本构模型,高围压和高温下粒状或多孔固体的行为,各种变形机制的多尺度模拟(位错、孪晶和相变),和纤维的塑性行为为基础的复合材料行为预测模型,是本杂志的一些主题。揭示塑性新模型的应用,包括模拟金属成形过程中观察到的现象也是令人感兴趣的。
