湿法冶金学旨在汇编关于新工艺、工艺设计、化学、建模、控制、经济学和单元操作之间的界面的研究报告，并提供一个论坛，供讨论案例历史和操作困难。在环境或升高的压力和温度下通过化学试剂或细菌作用浸出有价值的金属;从浸提液中分离固体;通过沉淀、离子交换、溶剂萃取、气体还原、置换、电解沉积和电解精炼去除杂质和回收金属价值;通过焙烧或化学处理如卤化或还原对矿石进行预处理;试剂的循环和废水的处理。
