比较免疫学,微生物学和传染病旨在响应 “一药” 的概念并提供科学交流的场所。基于 “比较医学” 的概念,人类和动物医学专家之间的跨学科合作是互惠互利的。因此,需要将医生,兽医和其他卫生专业人员的各自兴趣结合起来,进行与人类或动物医学相关的比较研究。该期刊向与人类和动物传染病 (尤其是人畜共患病) 的免疫学,免疫病理学,微生物学,寄生虫学和流行病学以及人类传染病的动物模型有关的共同感兴趣的主题开放。强调了环境因素在疾病出现中的作用。CIMID主要专注于应用兽医和人类医学,而不是基础实验研究。
