自1992年以来,昆虫分子生物学一直致力于为研究人员提供机会,发表与昆虫分子生物学广泛相关的高质量原创研究。IMB对发表昆虫基因组学/基因和蛋白质组学/蛋白质方面的研究特别感兴趣,包括与以下方面相关的研究:·昆虫基因结构·基因表达的控制·蛋白质的定位和功能/活性·蛋白质与配体/底物的相互作用·突变对基因/蛋白质功能的影响·昆虫基因/基因组的进化,特别是与昆虫相关的一般原则已经确立·分子群体遗传学,其中的数据用于识别参与特定适应性的基因(或基因组区域)·使用分子工具进行基因作图·昆虫与微生物(包括沃尔巴克氏体、共生体和病毒或其他由昆虫传播的病原体)的分子相互作用论文可以包括大量数据集,例如来自微阵列或蛋白质组学实验或基因组序列的计算机分析(取决于假设检验背景下的数据)。
