《生态水文学》是一份国际性期刊,发表原创科学论文和评论论文,旨在提高对生态学和水文学之间的相互作用过程以及与环境管理相关的应用的理解。《生态水文学》通过特别强调生态系统和水文循环之间在空间和时间上的相互作用和相关反馈,寻求增加跨学科的见解。主要研究领域包括物理学、生态学、生物学、生物地球化学、地貌学、流域学、生态水文学的数学和方法学。对陆地和水生系统的研究都是有意义的,只要它明确地将生态系统和水文循环联系起来;诸如水生生态学、水道工程学、生态学或水文学模型的研究不太适合于该期刊,除非它特别满足上述标准。描述个体病例研究的手稿在讨论地点和种属特异性结果之外的更广泛见解的情况下很有意义。
