《非洲卫生科学》是一份国际性的期刊，发表有关非洲和热带地区卫生和相关科学的研究、临床实践、公共卫生、政策、规划、实施和评价方面的原创文章。其目标是：倡导和促进撒哈拉以南非洲阅读文化的发展;提供一份高质量的期刊，使本区域和全世界的卫生和政策及其他研究人员和从业人员能够发表他们的工作;促进本区域有关卫生系统的研究和出版物，包括卫生保健筹资的替代办法、流离失所者和其他受冲突影响的人中处于边缘地位的城乡社区的负担和卫生问题的解决办法;促进研究和系统地收集、整理和出版关于疾病和公平状况及影响的数据;促进为临床、公共卫生和其他从业人员制定循证政策和指南。非洲健康科学感谢非洲健康期刊合作项目提供的支持，该项目由美国国立卫生研究院（通过国家医学图书馆和Fogarty国际中心）资助，并由科学编辑理事会提供便利。
