IJPP发表与田间、农场和景观水平上的大田作物和牧草的生理学、生态学和生产相关的原创研究论文和评论论文。首选主题为:(1)种植制度的产量差距:估计、原因和关闭措施,(2)植物生产的生态强化,(3)植物生产系统中水分和养分管理的改进,(4)植物生产的环境影响,(5)气候变化和植物生产,以及(6)植物群落对极端天气条件的反应。请注意,IJPP不发表具有遗传学和植物育种背景的论文,植物分子生物学、植物生物技术,以及土壤科学、气象学、产品加工和收获后管理,除非它们与田间条件下的植物生产密切相关。根据有限数据或具有地方重要性的论文,以及常规实验的结果,通常不会被考虑发表。现场试验应包括至少两年和/或两种环境。除大田作物和饲料外的植物论文,以及基于受控环境实验的论文将不予考虑。
