《遗传资源与作物进化》致力于植物遗传资源研究的各个方面。它发表在遗传资源的分类学、形态学、生理学、生物化学、遗传学、细胞学或民族植物学研究领域的原创文章,并包括对广义上的基因库管理的贡献,即收集、维护、评估、储存和文献。特别感兴趣的领域包括:-作物进化-驯化-作物-杂草关系-相关野生物种-栽培植物的历史,包括古民族植物学。遗传资源和作物进化还发表简短的通讯,例如新描述的作物分类群、命名注释、收集任务报告、基因库材料的评估结果等,以及遗传资源领域重要出版物的书评。每一卷都将包含一些关于实际问题的评论文章。该期刊是德国期刊Die Kulturpflanze的国际化续刊,该期刊以前由德国Gatersleben的植物遗传学和作物植物研究所出版。所有稿件均为英语,并接受同行评审。
