Eurosurveillance旨在成为欧洲及欧洲以外传染病界权威和代表性的公共卫生声音。我们的主要关注点是欧洲，鼓励世界其他地区的作者提交文章，前提是他们能为欧洲读者增加价值。我们的主要目标是：为卫生专业人员和决策者提供事实和指导，以促进实施有效的预防和控制措施;通过迅速传播有关疫情或紧急情况的高质量权威科学信息，支持欧洲对健康威胁的准备和应对;为卫生专业人员提供一个欧洲特有的平台，以分享传染病流行病学、预防和控制方面的科学发现;传播传染病监测数据并公布这些数据的分析和解释;在可能的情况下，向所有欧洲联盟国家的作者提供援助，以提高关于传染病的国家信息的影响和质量。
