《新兴微生物与感染》(Emerging Microbes & Infections,EMI)是一份新的开放获取、完全同行评审的国际期刊。EMI的目的是提供一个论坛,发表与新出现的传染病有关的广泛的科学报告,特别是来自发展中国家的新信息,这些国家的此类疾病不断出现并经常被发现。它将报告新出现的微生物(细菌、病毒、真菌和其他病原体)的发现,包括它们以前未知的表型或基因型特征,以及与微生物发病机制、免疫逃避和保护、临床表现和结果、药物疗效及其耐药性、流行病学和其他对全球健康重要的问题有关的前沿信息。
