内陆沃茨是同行评审,学术出口的原始论文,推进科学在国际湖沼学学会(SIL)的框架内。该杂志促进对内陆水生生态系统及其管理的理解。主题与SIL大会的内容相似,鼓励根据演示文稿提交。物理、化学和生物湖沼学的所有方面都是合适的,应用湖沼学和区域湖沼学的论文也是合适的。该杂志还旨在发表在SIL大会上发表的全体演讲的文章和偶尔的综合文章,以及致力于特定主题、特定水体或地理区域水生生态系统的问题。在杂志上发表的文章不限于SIL成员。
