这本跨学科期刊发表的论文涉及神经系统对意外或实验性损伤的可塑性和反应及其干预、移植、神经退行性疾病和改善再生或功能恢复和康复的实验策略。鼓励采用新概念方法的实验和临床研究论文。发表的首要标准是新奇性、显著的实验或临床相关性以及对多学科读者的兴趣。未麻醉动物实验应符合美国国家科学院实验动物资源研究所制定的实验动物使用标准。必须证明使用麻痹剂的实验是合理的。应隐藏患者身份。所有的稿件都被发送给编辑委员会成员或外部审稿人进行盲审。恢复性神经病学和神经科学是神经科学同行评议联盟的成员。
