生殖毒理学从大量学科中汲取经验,及时发表关于化学和物理因素对生殖影响的原创性研究。该杂志由产科医生、儿科医生、胚胎学家、畸胎学家、遗传学家、毒理学家、男科医生和其他对检测潜在生殖危害感兴趣的人撰写,是研究人员和从业人员之间交流的论坛。生殖毒理学是生殖毒理学的一个分支,它涉及到生殖毒理学的各个方面,包括雄性和雌性配子的形成和成熟,性功能,配子融合和受精卵发育的相关事件,生殖道内孕体的营养和运输,着床,胚胎发生、子宫内生长、胎盘形成和胎盘功能、分娩、哺乳和新生儿存活。认为雄性动物的不良生殖影响与雌性动物的不良影响同样显著。为了提供方法的平衡介绍,将同等重视临床和动物或体外工作。贡献者将研究的典型终点包括不育、性功能障碍、自然流产、畸形、异常组织发生、死产、宫内生长迟缓、早产、行为异常和围产期死亡率。
