《食物与营养生态学》是一本最广泛意义上的食物与营养国际期刊。该杂志发表关于食物和营养的所有方面--生态、生物和文化--的同行评审文章。食物和营养生态学致力于成为一个传播关于食物和营养研究的整体和跨文化方面的学术信息的论坛。它强调食物和食物系统不仅是为了满足人类的营养需要和健康,而且也是为了促进和反对社会和文化特性。因此,文章的内容范围很广----文章可以集中在食物和营养的关系、食物禁忌和偏好、食物的生态学和政治经济学、人类营养的演变、食物习惯的变化、食物技术和营销、食物和身份以及食物的可持续性。此外,鼓励发表有关应用理论和方法解决当代食品和营养问题的文章。食物/营养和文化之间的关系问题与该杂志密切相关,就像营养和环境、感染和人类健康之间的相互作用分析一样。
